Alessandra Melas graduated in Philosophy at the University of Bologna. She received her PhD with a dissertation in causal realism in Quantum Mechanics at the University of Sassari. She was a visiting researcher at the Philosophy Department of Rutgers University, and she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of History, Human Sciences and Education of the University of Sassari, where she was also adjunct professor of Logic and Philosophy of Science.
She currently collaborates with the University of Sassari, where she carries out research concerning the Metaphysics of Science and the Philosophy of Science, dealing mainly with causality, causal models and chance. She also teaches History and Philosophy at the High School.
