Unexpected Abundance
One day in the forest, I was searching for a very rare mushroom. After hours, I gave up and started to head home. At that exact moment, a friend called and asked if I wanted to go out and look for that very same mushroom together.
As she spoke, I suddenly saw I was standing in a sea of it in astonishing abundance, in a place it had never appeared before.
In all those years of searching those woods, I had found it only twice. Never like this, or in that spot.
