Triggered a Synchronicity Experience through Painting

Barry Summers
US

Years ago, I had multiple (accidental) synchronistic experiences tied to artwork I was doing at the time. I finally decided recently to see if I could trigger one deliberately.

I took a drawing I had started back when I was first experiencing this and turned it into a fairly simple painting (above). I called it “Sync Generator,” a reference to a piece of video equipment that was central to one of those earlier events. I felt like necessary elements included: a clear intention to trigger something, humor, references to earlier experiences, and in my case, both silver and gold highly-reflective paint (for reasons too complicated to explain here.)

Long story short, within days of finishing it, I had one of the most profound synchronistic experiences I’d ever experienced. It tied directly to my artwork, family history, and an activist issue I have been involved with for years.

I feel like I succeeded, but I’m not sure what to do with it. I’m leery of “chasing the rabbit,” i.e., trying to trigger another experience right away. I’d be interested to hear any reactions.
