Unbelievable Moth Coincidence
I had a coincidence experience that may be a two-parter…
I visited my sister on Aug. 6, 2024. The next day, Aug. 7, we released three moths they had been raising, which were hatching from their cocoons. One moth had distinct “owl eye” markings on its wings. Each was different, but I took note of the one that looked like owl’s eyes.
On Aug. 9, we took a trip to my grandmother’s house to see my mom, a three-hour drive away. When we arrived and stepped out of the car, a moth literally fluttered by and landed in the bush next to us. Of course, it couldn’t be the same moth we released, but it had the exact same “owl eye” markings on its wings!
